Mouthwatering: DC Shoes x Sneaker Bistro Collaboration
No, there's no place (to my knowledge, anyway) where you can order up a shrimp entré and get a pair of sneakers as a side dish. But there is a mighty fine boutique in Long Island named Sneaker Bistro which is designed to resemble an Italian restaurant even though the connoisseurs lining up outside its doors are interested in treats for their feet, not their tummies. As part of its Double Label Retailer Project, DC Shoes teamed up with Sneaker Bistro to produce a limited edition sneaker that stays true to both company's aesthetics. The DC Shoes x Sneaker Bistro kicks will be available this Saturday at noon at the Sneaker Bistro boutique.
When designing these yummy kicks, the Sneaker Bistro crew decided to stick with its signature color scheme, choosing hues that would conjure up the image of a gourmet Italian pasta dish: marinara red along the tongue and insole, a pasta-like golden cream hue, a deeper, sundried tomato-like red and a yellowish, Parmesan cheese-esque white along the uppers. The shoe's laces, meanwhile, come in three colors: Fettucini, Linguine and Spaghetti. The cutest detail: Sneaker Bistro's owner had the recipe for his favorite dish, Shrimp Oregano, printed on the insole.
Hey, if you're a sneaker lover, this is way more appetizing than anything you'd find on the Food Network!
