Trina Turk Walks The High Line
In honor of today’s grand opening of Section 1 of New York City’s High Line Park, which runs between Gansevoort Street and 20th Street, designer Trina Turk will be selling three exclusive pieces in her New York City boutique and donating 50% of the proceeds to High Line.
The three pieces, which will be available by the end of this week, consist of: a floppy sun hat, a pair of board shorts, and a shorter version of the shorts (not pictured)— all in a resort-ready, whimsical lime green pattern. Personally, I’m loving the contours of the sun hat and the way the brim undulates slightly, like an ocean wave.
Not only are these pieces perfect for summer, but you’ll be contributing to the completion of the High Line Park which, when finished will run for a mile-and-a-half stretch through the city’s Meatpacking District, West Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen nabes. With our planet in such a perilous state, it’s about time we support those who are fighting for a better tomorrow by actually planting those trees, laying down that grass, and focusing on creating, rather than destroying.
