City Cool: Mosley Tribes “Free City 2” Shades (As Seen on Kanye West)
While rocking the crowd at New York City’s Cipriani eatery last week, the Louis Vuitton Don maintained his reputation for consistently debuting the hottest new eyewear styles. After all, the platinum-selling rapper ignited a worldwide craze with the shutter shades he donned in his “Stronger” video, dabbled in high-low fashion by mixing sportswear with bold the Jeremy Scott shades he wore for the iTunes promo photos of his Graduation album, and led the “nerd chic” movement with the horn-rimmed Moscot “Lemtosh” frames he wore while promoting 808 & Heartbreak.
For the special G-Shock event last week, during which he performed such hits as “Can’t Tell Me Nothin'” and “Stonger,” Kanye West rocked the new “Free City 2” shades by Mosley Tribes (pictured above). These unisex black plastic frames manage to have a slightly retro feel thanks to the aviator-like shape of the temples an the thickness of the frames, but the angular cuts along the arms add a modern twist.
Hey, when it comes to style, Kanye West has shown he can run this town, so expect these to be among the “it” frames of the season.
