As you all know, I'm always trying new skin care products — at times the results are superb (and I choose to sing those products' praises on here); oftentimes they're okay, with some positives and negatives (and, since I keep it real in my field, I share those critiques with you); and then there are those products so offensively, heinously awful that I can't even bring myself to cover them (such as a certain at-home waxing kit that practically gave me third degree burns…I'm so not over that nightmare!). But enough with the pain and suffering talk. The point is this: I search high and low for the best of the best in the market, those products that really are, well, sicka than your average. Which brings me to my fascination with my new facial skincare regimen, which consists mainly of Korres products.

Now, I've been a fan of Korres for some time now but, before, I'd mostly concentrated on their body products: their Guava Body Butter (which I adore), their refreshing shower gels (last summer's cocktail scents were a hit in my shower), and their soothing bath salts. Beyond that, I'd tried a few of their eye shadows and guava lipsticks, as well as their amazing lip butters (their Guava one was my favorite up until I tried the Jasmine flavor (pictured above), which has a very light, almost sheer pink tint).

A few weeks ago, then, I decided to try some of Korres' facial care products — and I'm beyond thrilled with the results. I started my new regimen with Korres' best-selling Materia Herba Toning Cleansing Foam. I tent to prefer lightweight foaming facial washes over creamier alternatives (I find that they make my skin feel more fresh and clean *cue Outkast's "So Fresh and So Clean"*), so that was instantly appealing. As the cleanser's name suggests, this is a frothy cleanser — imagine the type of consistency you'd find from the suds at the very top of a bubble bath. It feels extremely gentle on the skin and yet manages to remove any dirt and impurities.

The Materia Herba Toning Cleansing Foam contains: naturally derived salicylic acid to control oil production and prevent or treat breakouts (and yet it's way gentler than what you'd find in a chemical-based cleanser); Glyco-oligosaccharide, which purifies the skin using natural sugars and balances oil production; sunflower, wheat and soy glycolipids to help fight the signs of premature aging; organic hammamelis (also known as witch haze) floral water, a natural antibacterial that gently tones the skin; antioxidant-rich organic olive leaf, which protects you from free radical damage; and centaurea floral water to soothe that lovely visage. The cleanser will leave your skin feeling like it underwent a beauty baptism. I swear by Caudalie and Jurlique's cleansers, but now they've got some serious competition!

After washing my face, I then apply the Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizer, which hydrates, softens and brightens your skin with its mixture of: wild rose oil, a natural source of vitamin C that helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines and hyper-pigmentation; imperata cylindrica, a desert plan that regulates the water equilibrium in the skin's molecular surface to encourage continuous hydration; pure vitamin C to brighten the skin; hydrating olive oil; phytic acid, a natural skin lightener that will help to lessen the visibility of existing scars, acne marks, etc; and nourishing vitamin E-rich grape seed extract. Over  2-3 week period, the non-sticky moisturizer actually helped to correct some of the discoloration on my face (one of the most irksome skin issues with which I grapple), giving me a more even tone.

And, of course, if my face feels a bit oily during the day (especially when it's hot outside and I start to perspire a bit more than any lady ever should), I simply reach in my purse for one of the towelettes in the travel-ready packet of Pomegranate Cleansing & Make Up Remover Wipes. These wipes effectively clean your skin without stripping it of its natural moisturizing agents, and it does a pretty good job at removing makeup — plus the pomegranate scent titillates your senses.
