Nonoo Lyons Launches E-Commerce Section





Last September, during New York Fashion Week, I attended the Nonoo Lyons Spring/Summer 2010 presentation in Soho, for which design team Misha Nonoo and Deborah Lyons drew inspiration from the idea of pin-up girls from the ’40s and ’50s. They hence enlisted a group of leggy models to wear their twelve jacket styles (which ranged from a leopard print trench coat to a ruched cobalt blue bomber jacket) while standing before a wall like coquettish mannequins, dolled up in retro-inspired updos and sequined bloomers and briefs.

As soon as I saw the “Miss September” jacket pictured at top, a cropped and fitted white raffia piece with a slanted front slap featuring oversize silver beaded studs with mesh trim dangling playfully from each bead. I also loved the deep blue of the “Miss October” bomber and the way the hemline flares on the pink and white tweed “Miss November” jacket, which features bright pink trim along the neckline, seams, and pockets.

The best news: the day has finally arrived when you can purchase these for yourself, as Nonoo Lyons has just launched an e-commerce section on its website. Some of the styles are already selling out, so make it like it’s 2010 and not 1950 and move swiftly!
