Essie Spring 2010 Collection — The Art Of Nails
For her Spring 2010 collection, Essie Cosmetics creator Essie Weingarten tried to capture the colors one would find in a floral bouquet but added a pop art twist with the type of finishes and the undertones in each shade. The shades include: Red Nouveau, a pepper red with a hint of a warm, watermelon-esque tone; Pop Art Pink, an ultra sheer powdery pink meant to reference floating chiffon fabrics; Tart Deco, a crisp coral shade (and one of my favorite lacquers in the collection); Van D’Go, a creamy, peachy pink; Neo whimsical, a pastel purple with pink undertones; and Lilacism, a creamy but smooth pale lilac.
Out of all the shades, I’m most fond of Lilacism and Tart Deco since both are lively but sophisticated shades that have a yummy creamy finish without the running, clumping, and messiness we can often encounter with these types of lacquers.
