Jee Vice “Fabulous” Sunglasses Seen On “Ugly Betty”

We may be saying goodbye to Ugly Betty tomorrow night (and they better make that finale juicy, I might add!), but we'll doubtless be referencing the show's fashion hits (especially Amanda and Wilhelmina's ensembles) and misses (i.e. Betty's infamous poncho and the clashing pattern outfits she assembled throughout three and a half seasons) for quite some time. If you've been tuning in during the final season, then you already know they've been trying to squeeze in as many outfits as possible into the series' last hoorah. Case in point: in the "London Calling" episode, in which Betty traveled to cover London Fashion Week, Wilhelmina Slater (MODE magazine's ice queen Creative Director, played by Vanessa Williams) rocked these stunning Jee Vice sunglasses with an all-black ensemble while trying to go incognito at an AA meeting (part of her latest ploy to take over the Meade empire). Yes, even when doing recon, Whilhelmina rocks the style casbah.

The "Fabulous" shades are among Jee Vice's newest designs for Spring/Summer (and it's my favorite style to date — I'm literally drooling over these!). I love how the frame's sides are completely straight, like an unwavering vertical line— this effect adds an interesting, dramatic twist to the silhouette, which features a harmony of lines and curves. Notice how the frames mainly have a rectangular shape, but the upper and lower edges are curved slightly for a softer vibe. Plus, the upper and lower edges of the frames grow a bit wider as you move from the bridge to the temples, creating a subtle, wing-like effect. Also, notice the ridges at the corners of the frames, which add a nice three-dimensional effect.

In terms of the colors in which the Jee Vice "Fabulous" sunglasses are available, the Green Silk (pictured above) and the Peacock/Black definitely place first for me (it's a tie as to which is more gorgeous), but the Brown Silk and Black colorways are also lovely.

Hey, the name of these frames says it all: fabulous!
