Throw Some Shade — Oliver Peoples For Balmain Sunglasses
Okay, gals, sorry I’ve been MIA this last couple of days, but I’m fighting through a major bout with strep throat (and losing the battle, it feels like!). Anyhow, I didn’t want to leave y’all hanging without at least giving you a touch of eye candy, so here’s a little tidbit until I can be back in full effect, bringing you more hot-to-death fashion and beauty picks. So here goes!
This season, Parisian couture house Balmain, the edgy and rock ‘n’ roll-flavored brand that makes the most amazing military-flavored jackets, oversize faux fur vests, and zippered heels, has ventured out and expanded into eyewear, collaborating with Oliver Peoples to release a debut line of sunglasses consisting of one simple style named Balmain 1. Available in all-black or in black-and-silver, these modern shades feature sleek metal frames with a flattened top rim boasting contrasting piping (I particularly love the style with the silver piping) and exaggerated teardrop-shaped lenses.
They’re simple but audacious — like the Balmain line itself.
The Oliver Peoples for Balmain sunglasses are currently available for 420 Euros at Balmain.com
