Jellypop “Conquer” Gladiator Sandal To Benefit CAST
Though Jellypop Shoes specializes in youthful styles with a sense of whimsy and playfulness, the design of their new “Conquer” gladiator sandals was inspired by a very serious cause:the need to stop human trafficking across the globe. To that end, then, Jellypop collaborated with the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST), an organization that focuses on the needs of survivors of the human trafficking industry, whether it’s by assisting them with job opportunities, helping them secure housing, or mobilizing to procure green cards so they’ll be granted legal status domestically. CAST also focuses on coalition building and raising awareness about the issue through grassroots activism and educational caucuses that allow survivors to relate their own experiences first-hand.
The periwinkle blue hue of the sandals’ leather straps and the kiwi green color chosen for the cursive “Jellypop” lettering emblazoned along the insoles pay homage to CAST’s logo, which also boasts a blue and green color scheme. In terms of their construction, the sandals feature a thong toe, three straps with white contrast stitching that run horizontally across the top arch of the foot. a slim inverted triangle strip at center through which all other straps are threaded, and another three buckled straps that hug the ankle, as well as a zipper closure along the back of the foot and ankle.
All the proceeds from the sales of the “Conquer” sandals will be donated to CAST, so this is one shoe purchase of which you can feel extremely proud.
