Rachel Roy X Jessica Stam Collection — For Model Citizens
After her hugely successful jewelry collaboration with British chanteuse Estelle, New York-based designer Rachel Roy has teamed up with yet another tastemaker: Canadian model Jessica Stam. The new Rachel Roy x Jessica Stam collection will officially debut on September 10th at Macy’s in Herald Square as part of New York City’s Fashion’s Night Out festivities. Thus far, the pieces unveiled seem to perfectly capture Stam’s personal style, which can best be described as relaxed but edgy, with a mix of casual staples (such as comfy T-shirts in white, black and heather gray) sprinkled alongside downtown hip pieces like biker-inspired leather jackets, skinny black pants, hefty ankle boots, and aviator shades.
On September 7th, a pop-up shop will open on the Rachel Roy Facebook page, so that fans can order pieces from the collection before it hits stores. The pop-up shop will only be open for three days, closing on September 10th, so as to coincide with the collection’s official launch.
Only four pieces will be available at the Facebook pop-up shop, three of which are pictured above. Our favorite: the Chanel-inspired cardigan jacket, with its checkered ink blue and cream color scheme. The tailored, waist-length piece can go from a ladies-who-lunch accent when paired with a conservative pair of pumps, pearls, and a fitted knee-length skirt, or it can go the opposite direction, into downtown hip territory, when paired with skinny jeans, studded boots, and a hefty multi-strand necklace with twisted chains.
Remember to mark September 7th on your calendars and head over to Rachel Roy Facebook’s page to nab one of these pieces!
