Sofia Vergara’s Lancôme Look At The 2011 Golden Globes
Only three days before the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Colombian actress and Modern Family star Sofia Vergara was tweeting that she had no viable wardrobe options for the red carpet event, pointing to her ample hips and her rather sizable “golden globes” as the culprits of her fashion dilemma (seriously, designers, she has an amazing body, so how about you start making dresses to fit women with this body shape as opposed to the boyish waifs you seem to favor?!). Fortunately, Vergara was persistent, eventually shimmying into a cardinal red Vera Wang gown with a corseted bodice.
To keep the look vivacious and modern, Vergara’s makeup artist Kayleen McAdams steered clear of overly dark eye shadow colors, instead opting for wispy amethyst purple tones. McAdams gave Vergara’s skin a sultry glow by applying the Lancôme Absolue BX Makeup, which provides lightweight coverage, while smoothing out wrinkles, tightening skin, and moisturizing skin to create a smooth canvas. She then swept the Lancôme Blush Subtil in Rose Fresque onto cheeks, keeping the pigment light for a very natural look.
To draw attention to the eyes, McAdams applied the Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet to brows, filling out any sparse areas and creating a fuller brow line. She then applied the Lancôme Artliner in Aubergine, a liquid pen with a pointed foam tip, sweeping the plum purple color close to the lash line then extending it at the corners for a slight cat eye. Next, she swept some warm, coral pink shades from the Lancôme Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Coral Crush (which is poised to launch in February) onto lids, and finished off the look with the Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara and the Hypnôse Custom Mascara, which make lashes appear up to six times fuller.
Vergara’s lips were infused with just a light hint of sheer color thanks to the L’Absolu Nu lipstick in Sheer Mousse, a new shade debuting in March.
