Do A Figure Eight With Amanda Pearl’s Vera Clutch
The term “octo” has been shrouded in derision thanks to the antics of Nadya Suleman (otherwise known as the controversial Octo-Mom), but designer Amanda Pearl is restoring some dignity to the prefix with a series of glamorous clutch purse in octagonal shapes. The latest addition to her Octo family is the Amanda Pearl Vera (pictured above), a resplendent piece with a cosmic charm thanks to the dense blue and black micro sparkle bits covering its exterior.
Measuring 6 1/4″ in length, 4 1/4″ in height, and 1 1/4″ in depth, the Vera clutch was crafted using the glitter-packed “Hollywood” material, a black canvas-like fabric embedded with miniature silver, clear, sapphire blue, and greenish aqua glitter bits that lend it the air of mysteriousness we associate with uncharted galaxies and create a sophisticated montage of color and texture reminiscent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The piece was then accented with gold plated metal along its periphery and an octagon-shaped gold metal push button closure.
Other features include a gold-plated touch-up mirror tucked inside the moiré-lined clutch and a convertible gold metal chain shoulder strap.
