The Missoni x Havaianas Collection Is Here!

Few brands have as distinctive a visual identity as Missoni. There’s Burberry, of course, with the tan, red, white, and black tartan pattern it typically uses to adorn handbags and  line raincoats, but Missoni stands on the opposite end of the vibrancy scale, relying on jaunty patterns like zigzagging stripes in technicolor hues. Now, your feet can walk the line — well, the  zigzagging line — with the new Missoni x Havaianas Collection, a limited-edition capsule collection consisting of one espadrille style and three flip-flop designs, all bearing printed Missoni patterns.

The priciest but most noteworthy offering is the Havaianas x Missoni Espadrille, which features an ikat-flavored striped pattern in colors worthy of an ’80s-era, Off-Air TV screen picture. The back half of the shoe, including the heel counter, are made of a stark black canvas that magnifies the intensity of the pattern along the front of the shoe. And, to add a rustic feel, yellow whip-stitching lines the area between the canvas uppers and the sole.  Another standout is the Havaianas x Missoni sandal, which features a more streamlined silhouette than the other two flip-flop styles in the collection, along with thinner rubber straps. The print, meanwhile, conjures up a sense of whimsy, with undulating, wave-like stripes of varying widths in summery fuchsia, turquoise, orange, black, pale yellow, green, sky blue, navy, white, and violet.

Each shoe comes in a Missoni drawstring bag for safekeeping.
