Trussardi Goes Incognito For Its 100th Anniversary With Camouflage Sunglasses
Is luxury Italian accessories brand Trussardi hoping for greater longevity than Matusalem? Well, Trussardi may still be far from the 969-year life span mark set by the mythical Biblical patriarch, but it’s certainly going strong, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
To commemorate its centennial, then, Trussardi 1911 is rolling out a series of collectible goods. First in line: a pair of limited-edition sunglasses based on the best-selling Trussardi 1911 Occhiali frame style, a classic aviator frame in gold titanium with brown gradient lenses. Handmade by Carl Zeiss Vision, the sunglasses remix the best-selling frame style by giving the lenses a brown-tinged camouflage pattern as an homage to the military print so often incorporated into Trussardi 1911 luggage, handbags, and accessories. With these, then, you can see the world in shades of Army green.
Only 750 pairs of these shades were produced, each with a serial number embossed on the inner temple to underline its authenticity. Plus, to add another cheeky element to the milestone-commemorating release, the sunglasses are packaged inside a sleek camo print leather case.
We’re talking major camo style ammo, folks!
