Stussy x Keds Bardot Sneakers — Revisiting ’60s Chic
Breathable canvas sneakers are a must for laid-back summer days when flip-flops won’t prove sturdy enough — after all, it’s hard to pedal a bicycle or sprint in the park with thong sandals that can flip off your feet at any moment. The new Stussy x Keds Bardot sneakers will prove useful for summer romps, but they rank higher on the style scale than your traditional low-top kicks thanks to their unique silhouette, which includes a pointed toe instead of the traditional rounded toe.
These 100% cotton canvas kicks — available in black, ivory and red — feature a slim rope-trimmed rubber sole for a bit of a sporty espadrille effect. The Taper Toe Champion style selected for this co-branded sneaker collection hasn’t been seen since the 1960s which explains its Bardot moniker.
Each sneaker features two rows of oversize metal eyelets along the vamp and thick grosgrain laces threaded through them. As an added treat for sneaker collectors, the insoles are a traffic light-worthy yellow color and are printed with whimsical, swirling lines, as well as the Stussy and Keds logos at the heel point.
