United Nude Offers A Caged Shoe That Sings For Spring 2012
Forward-thinking, design-driven footwear brand United Nude wants to cage up your feet this spring — and, while captivity is typically anything but alluring, the new Web Hi wedges will have you begging for the entrapment of your pedicured paws.
Available in graphic black or white, the United Nude Web Hi ($650 at UnitedNude.com) draws inspiration from spiderwebs and hence the ankle-high, bootie-style wedge integrates intricate, diamond- and triangle-shaped cut-outs all over the laser-cut nappa leather uppers, as well as on the tonal metal chromed heel. Featuring a 5.5″ heel and 1.2″ platform, these streamlined wedges feature a zippered tab running vertically along the vamp and a cheeky peep toe.
Plus, in keeping with the designers’ architectural focus, the heel features asymmetrical ridges along the back for a forbidden but alluring feel. The metal heel, meanwhile, is so slim that it mirrors a triangle-shaped slice, much like a slanted book end.
