My fellow mommies, you may love styling and profiling, but you have to learn how to share the limelight — especially when it comes to your fresh-faced, chubby-cheeked Mini-Mes.

For her first collaboration with Gap, celebrated fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg chose to switch her focus from wrap dress-loving divas to their adorable offspring, designing a collection for GapKids and babyGap aimed at girls ranging from newborn to age fourteen. The DVF <3 GapKids Collection launched in US stores and on Gap.com yesterday, March 15th, and her colorful pieces are already on the verge of selling out, so make sure to act fast if you want to nab a few pieces!

The DVF<3 GapKids collection manages to feel age-appropriate without relying on overly cliché, tea party-ready, princess-y fare. Translation: no layers of pink tulle, no explosions of ribbons, no tiara-like headbands, and no overly dainty floral prints.

Pieces range from cotton T-shirts with whimsical graphic prints, like an inky illustration of a bee adorned with yellow paillettes (as shown after the jump) to sleeveless rompers with thick shoulder straps, sash belt ties, and elasticized pant cuffs with drawstring ties (as pictured second from top) and, of course, miniature versions of DVF’s trademark wrap dresses (like the piece pictured at top), which features a wrap skirt along the front and shorts along the back, making it an ideal choice for active and energetic young girls.

Other offerings include: hi-top sneakers with an all-over print featuring the DVF letters and colorful heart shapes, all scrambled above the canvas uppers for an alphabet soup-like effect (as pictured next to last above); espadrille sandals with braided wedge heels and woven canvas uppers featuring knot details positioned atop the toes and wrapped around the ankle (pictured last above); and soft capri leggings with fun splatter prints (like those pictured after the jump).

Make sure to get your fahionista-in-traning some DVF duds while you can!
