Fit To Print — Joe’s Jeans Introduces New Printed Denim Styles for Spring 2012
Splashy prints are so abundant this season— whether bearing floral motifs, abstract and kaleidoscopic designs, geometry-driven patterns, tribal-flavored motifs, or animal spots — that they’re bound to make street gazing all the more satisfying. In keeping with this trend, Joe’s Jeans has unveiled its latest Printed Denim Collection, which spans across several styles, ranging from the popular Skinny to the new High Water jean (shown above), a mini skirt, and two thigh-bearing shorts.
Inspired by retro fashions, the new Joe’s Jeans High Water is a cropped, ankle-length jean with enough stretch to rival a traditional skinny jean thanks to its cotton and lyocell blend. The Joe’s Jeans High Water is now available in four colorful patterns: Peach Leopard ($165 at JoesJeans.com), which gives the traditional brown leopard print a twist by incorporating a light peach backdrop with splashes of warm caramel; White Leopard ($165 at JoesJeans.com), a crisp white style with foil-like snow white spots that add a bit of sheen, so that the print is practically imperceptible until you lean in for a closer look, along with a white button closure; Geranium Tribal ($179 at JoesJeans.com), a coral red number with a Native American-inspired, ikat-style print in poppy, earthy brown, and punchy violet shades inspired by desert sunsets; and Tainted Rose ($179 at JoesJeans.com), a watercolor-inspired design featuring oversize pink roses with grayish sage leaves against a midnight blue backdrop, creating a Renoir-meets-November Rain feel.
Our favorite print, the Geranium Tribal, can be paired with a basic tee or a crisp white or black blouse, then accessorized with anything from espadrille wedges to feather earrings and beaded handbags.
