Today’s Look: Psychedelic Florals And Pops Of Neon
The sun was beaming in NYC today, and I woke up feeling energetic, optimistic, and adventurous. I channeled this spirit into my outfit choice for the day. Today, then, I wore a body-hugging tank dress from H&M with a psychedelic, collage-style floral print (reminiscent of Mary Katrantzou’s work) and paired the frock with my neon orange Jeffrey Campbell Darian Wedge Sandals, which resemble clogs but have an elastic strap along the back and a really sizable, leather-covered wedge heel. I then reached for my House of Harlow 1960 Red, Balck & Gold Hoop Drop Earrings, and a stack of neon orange, crisp white, and neon yellow bracelets from H&M featuring wrapped cord intertwined with prong-set, conical metal studs and gunmetal- or golden-colored ball bead chains. I finished off the look with my white leather Romygold Knot Handle hobo, which features golden plates along the bottom surface for a bit of a rocker edge.
As for my makeup and hair, I kept things simple, working my hair into a messy top knot and eschewing heavy foundations or powders, instead opting for Tarte’s Smooth Operator Tinted Moisturizer. To add a bit of color to my face, I applied a touch of Illamasqua’s Zygomatic Cream Blusher along the cheeks, followed by a few drops of Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Illuminator in Moonstone (which I blended in along the cheekbones). I lined my eyes with the Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in 13 (Matte Black) and applied two coats of Maybelline’s Illegal Length Mascara. Last, using a lip brush, I applied the OCC Makeup Lip Tar in Radiate onto my lips.
