Earlier today, I head down to ModaListas, the gorgeous boutique into the Limelight Shops, the church-turned-nightclub-turned-marketplace located in Manhattan’s Flatiron district, where we filmed a segment for Telemundo’s “Mujer de Hoy” centered on how to dress fashionably during pregnancy.
Yesterday morning, I had the immense pleasure of appearing on Telemundo NY’s 6-month old morning show “Buenos Días Nueva York” to discuss spring footwear trends and, of course, show off some styles every woman will likely covet.
Yesterday, I appeared again on Telemundo’s “Mujer de Hoy” segment — this time to discuss street style trends in New York City and, more importantly, how to turn heads while strutting down the Big Apple’s longest runways: its crowded sidewalks.
I’m not always the timeliest of people — for instance, I just mailed my father his Christmas present last week, which speaks to the ludicrous “island style” time table by which we operate in my family (side note: he’s been known to send birthday presents a month after the date has elapsed, so one could argue that I got it from him!).
For his Fall 2013 collection, designer Thakoon Panichgul decided to blur seasonal boundaries, merging summery firefly and dandelion printed dresses and blouses, many with lace panel inserts, with heavier wintry knits and structured, fur-lined coats and vests and, in some cases, using rich leather and goat skin to create airy pieces with short sleeves or bouncy flared hemlines.
One of the most pervasive beauty trends identified during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013 has been the abundance of bold, smoky, somewhat cat-shaped eyes in deep shades of indigo blue, cobalt, and violet.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of filming a new beauty segment for Telemundo’s “Mujer de Hoy,” this time focusing on makeup looks inspired by Disney princesses and on cosmetic sets that nod to classic fairy tales like Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.
